MMP-SPECT™ Aperture Plates
The core of this revolutionary SPECT technology is the patented MMP-SPECT™ technology* developed by SciVis. MMP-SPECT is grounded in multi-pinhole aperture plates that project overlapping images on the small animal imaging system's SPECT detectors. Our proprietary reconstruction software enables the combination of multiple projections into a single, high quality image of the subject.

By projecting the magnified images through many pinholes simultaneously, our systems can deliver images at resolutions below 350μm while maintaining high detection sensitivity. This performance characteristic is essential for imaging mice and rats with the same acuity that can be achieved using human clinical imaging systems, thus making it possible to translate research from mouse to man. In addition, because of the high sensitivity our SPECT systems provide, our users can complete studies at low dosage levels of <1mCi and with imaging times as short as 30 seconds and typically not longer than 30 minutes.
We have designed multi-pinhole aperture sets customized for various in vivo studies. Whether your application requires high sensitivity or high resolution, for mice or rats, you can achieve the optimal performance combinations with our aperture plates. Aperture plates and collimators are delivered in a robust storage case for convenient handling between scans.
